WilliamsCraig is a Toronto-based interior design studio founded by Karen Williams in1999. We design residential, retail, and commercial spaces across Canada — from heritage homes in Toronto to mountain retreats in British Columbia, from flagship retail to performance venues and professional offices.
Our practice is built on a conviction - LIVE LIFE WELL - that interiors should make the people inside them feel better. We're WELL AP credentialed and Fitwell Ambassador certified — the two leading global standards for buildings designed to support human health — and we apply those principles across every project we take on, residential or commercial. That means designing for natural light, air quality, acoustic comfort, material health, biophilic detailing, and the small spatial decisions that quietly shape how a space feels to live or work in.
What We Do
We work across three areas of practice. Every project, regardless of category, is designed with WELL principles at the core.
Residential — Principal residences, renovations, and second homes, typically [1,000 to 10,000 square feet. Recent work includes the Kicking Horse Chalet in Golden, BC, and projects in Toronto's Beaconsfield and Summerhill neighbourhoods.
Retail & Hospitality — Brand-led environments where the experience of the space matters as much as what happens inside it. Our work in this category includes LUSH and the Second City theatres in Toronto and Chicago.
Commercial & Workplace Wellness — Professional and corporate interiors designed for longevity, focus, and the people who use them every day. We integrate WELL Building Standard and Fitwell strategies into workplace design, from natural light planning to acoustic comfort to material health. Selected clients include DRI Capital and Crawley MacKewn Brush.
Every project moves through the same rhythm: discovery, concept, design development, documentation, and on-site direction through construction. We're involved from the first walk-through to the final punch list.
